This family canoeing trip is easy and suitable for everyone. If you are a beginner or if you decide to organise this trip with children, you will be able to embark with a light mind and fully enjoy the activity without fear of a possible difficult passage.
If you are already a canoeing enthusiast, you can guide your team or give some good navigation tips.

The privileged setting is also an asset of this descent. The lush nature blends harmoniously with the rock and the crystal clear river.

Schedule of the day

The bureau des guides’s shuttle will take you to the starting point of the activity. Once there, you will board the suspension bridge at Saint-Bauzille-de-Putois and begin your journey. This canoeing trip is perfect for relaxing with family and friends and ensures a quiet descent in the middle of nature. Few people go to the swimming spots, as access by car is difficult. You can enjoy these areas in an intimate and uncrowded atmosphere.

The bureau des guides provides all the technical equipment necessary for the activity: boats, paddles, helmets, life jackets and waterproof containers. Participants must wear a swimsuits and closed shoes. You should also pack a lunch if you wish to have a picnic.

The route will end at Ambougette, after the bridge at Saint-Étienne d’Issensac. The return shuttle will be waiting to take you back to your vehicles. This itinerary is accessible from the age of 6. Children must be able to swim at least 25 metres and be able to immerse themselves. The descent lasts a total of 2 and a half hours.

Be prepared for a memorable experience in the heart of magical landscapes. You will be transported out of time. Take a break and connect with nature!

Driving directions

From Ganges, take the direction of Saint Bauzille de Putois, then turn right towards Brissac at the last roundabout before leaving the village. Before the bridge, turn left and park in the car park where the “Canoë le Moulin – Pont suspendu” base is located.

From Anduze, go to Durfort, Saint-Hippolyte-du-Fort, Montoulieu and Saint-Bauzille-de-Putois, then left towards Montpellier, then right towards Brissac at the last roundabout before leaving the village. Before the bridge, turn left and park in the car park where the “Canoë le Moulin – Pont suspendu” base is located.

From Montpellier, follow Saint-Gély-du-Fesc, Saint-Martin-de-Londres, Saint-Bauzille-de-Putois. As you enter the village, turn left at the first roundabout towards Brissac. Before the bridge, turn left and park in the car park where the “Canoë le Moulin – Pont suspendu” base is located.

The Hérault valley is full of natural sites that cannot be ignored, such as the Cirque de Navacelles, only 40 kilometres from Saint-Bauzille-de-Putois. This geological wonder will bring you into a world of exoticism and promise you wonderful hikes.
